Northeast Ohio Combined Cycle Power Plant Recognized as a “Top Plant”

Kokosing Industrial, Inc. served as the General Contractor for the construction of the Lordstown Energy Center – a new 940 megawatt natural gas-fired combined cycle power plant (CCPP) built in Lordstown, Ohio. Kokosing Industrial provided general construction services under a contract with Siemens Energy, Inc., the EPC contractor for plant owner Clean Energy Future-Lordstown, LLC.

Lordstown Energy Center features the record-breaking H-class Flex-Plant technology designed for fast, flexible operation to support renewable integration. The project scope included two gas turbines, one steam turbine and three generators. The facility is capable of supplying power for approximately 800,000 households.
