Giving back to the community is built into the very fabric of Kokosing. We believe making investments that improve the quality of life in our communities where we live and work is of the utmost importance. Whether it’s volunteering time on community projects or raising money for charities, Kokosing is proud of the companywide participation of its employees and their families. In addition to a variety of community projects, we support annually children’s hospitals, food drives, United Way, walk-run-rides and youth team sponsorships.
Our children’s hospital drives raise an average of $100,000 for 19 children’s hospitals throughout Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and West Virginia. Donor support allows these hospitals to give children expert care. These contributions have gone to research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of the mission to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
Kokosing has long been an advocate and partner with food pantries. Our annual food drives encourages employee participation and allows us to give back in the communities where we live and work by choosing an organization to donate collected food items and funds. These employee donations are matching 100% by Kokosing and distributed to food banks all across the Midwest.
We support the United Way’s vision of seeing the quality of life improve in our communities and our world by giving children and adults the resources they need. Kokosing partners with the United Way to ensure that individuals and families everywhere have access to the basic building blocks for a good life – education, income and health.

Reds Community Fund Urban Youth Academy
Kokosing managed the project design, schedule, budget and overall construction at cost for the Cincinnati Reds Urban Youth Academy’s new training facility. This complex, consisting of four baseball fields and a 34,000-square-foot indoor practice facility, is used to teach the Cincinnati area youth with little to no exposure to organized sports the sport of baseball and softball year round. This program builds character in the youth, as they participate in the programs and activities. Kokosing conducted all Kokosing employee and other volunteer support related to this project.
