Springfield WWTP (2)

The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Ohio awarded Kokosing Industrial the esteemed Build Ohio Award in the Industrial Category for their Springfield, Ohio WWTP project. This project featured the construction of the first, large scale high rate treatment (HRT) facility that utilized compressible media filtration. See our project board for a detailed look at this system.

In addition to this new HRT facility, Kokosing crews worked in tough conditions that required heavy dewatering and a meticulous piping and shoring schedule around existing plant piping and operations.

The Build Ohio Awards are presented annually at the AGC Build Ohio Celebration. The awards, which recognize project construction excellence, are chosen by a panel of retired construction professionals based on the following criteria: excellence in project management, innovation in construction techniques and materials, excellence in client service, and meeting the challenge of a difficult job.

This years award was accepted by (left-to-right) Dan Walker (President), Doug Jackson (Project Manager), Greg Hirt (Project Superintendent), John Shelton (Site Work Superintendent) and Tom Muraski (Senior Vice President). This award represents the hard work and dedication of the entire project staff.
